We are a community-driven nonprofit committed to uplifting youth, teens, and families across Chicago's South Side, with a special focus on the Roseland and Chatham neighborhoods. Our mission is to provide safe spaces, mentorship, educational support, life skills training, and family-centered programs that inspire hope and encourage lifelong success.

TLC Next Gen is rooted in Chicago’s South Side, with a focus on strengthening youth and families in Roseland, Chatham, and surrounding communities. We help address barriers facing young people by connecting them to academic support, mentorship, scholarships, career and college preparation, financial education, mental wellness resources, and positive community experiences.
Through trusted relationships with families, schools, and local partners, we create safe spaces and meaningful opportunities that help South Side youth build confidence and expand their possibilities.

Tecora Edwards is a passionate advocate for youth and families who believes every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive. Through TLC Next Gen, she is turning years of experience working with children and families into meaningful programs that educate, empower, and open doors - strengthening families and creating lasting change across Chicago’s South Side.
